MX (5-3) defeated previously undefeated Pingree (6-1) 50-47 Friday night at the Cage.  The game went back and forth in the first half until junior Austin Dorseys put away a pair of 3pt baskets, giving MX a 27-23 lead at the break.  The second half would see MX take a controlling 12-point lead half way through at 37-25 but Pingree would stage a big comeback with a 20-3 run. With Pingrees leading at 45-40, Austin Dorsey came up huge with another 3pter.  The Zebras were down by one with under a minute to go but senior co-captain Hamza Usman scored on a nifty drive to the basket to regain the lead and secure the win.  Usman led all scorers with 15, while Dorsey recorded 13 and junior Jack Lyne had 11.  Ben Cherington contributed 5 points and a game high 9 rebounds.  The team returns to action Saturday afternoon at the Wheeler School for a 2:00 p.m. start.
