Middlesex traveled across town for the first Concord derby in recent history and emerged with a convincing 4-1 victory. Ten minutes into the match Middlesex struck on a quick counter attack that saw the ball played across the top of the box to senior Julian Bishop who opened his hips to turn and then lay off a perfectly weighted ball that senior Kyle Finke struck with ferocious pace into the far side net from 20 yards away.

Senior defender Logan Hallowell struck the crossbar in the 17th minute, and then Concord Academy leveled the score line when a free service from the left flank was allowed to bounce in the box for a Concord forward to touch away from the Zebra backline for a simple tap in with his second touch. With the halftime score knotted at 1-1, the Middlesex boys kicked into a different gear after the break and opened the match up within the first ten minutes. A long ball from the backline was met by senior Daniel Parnell, who laid the ball off to sophomore James Sanderson on the halfway line and spun in behind his marker to receive the return pass. Parnell took one touch and then chipped the ball past the onrushing Concord keeper and into the side net for the eventual match winner.
Just three minutes after junior Gavin Tasker struck the crossbar with a free header, Sanderson scored in the 73rd minute with his head from a precise service from senior Julian Bishop to make the score 3-1. Junior Will Christenfeld finished the scoring when he received a ball from sophomore Gavin Garrity-Rokous just inside the penalty area and tucked his finish carefully in at the near post for the 4-1 final. Concord fought extremely hard from the first whistle to the last and the match was well played, spirited and fair as there were no cautions shown by the referee on the day.
