Drew Coash doubled twice and drove in five runs and Kai Long pitched a complete game to help lead the Middlesex baseball team to a 10-6 win over Rivers on Monday.

A Justin White single in the top of the first put Middlesex up 1-0 but Rivers responded with three runs in the bottom half to take a 3-1 lead. After Middlesex scored twice in the top of the third, Rivers came right back in their half of the inning to take a 5-3 lead.

Middlesex kept battling, however, and Coash stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and one out in the fourth and cleared the bases on a blast to left field. A Kyle Finke RBI groundout and an Aaron Swenson sac fly made the score 8-5 Middlesex before Coash knocked in two more runs with his second double of the day.

Rivers loaded the bases with nobody out in the bottom of the seventh, but Long induced a 6-4-3 double play and then a fly out to center to end the ballgame.

Middlesex travels to Roxbury Latin on Wednesday for a 3:15 game.
