Golf Blanked by Governor's

4/30/2014 10:13:00 AM

The Governor's Academy traveled from Byfield, MA  to face the Middlesex Golf team in the historic town of Concord this Tuesday.

While the team was boosted by the presence of Matt "KoKo" Kochakian and Hanson Datswani (two of the most fierce competitors in the ISL), the Middlesex team failed to play much better than the weather, which consisted of a horrible combination of light drizzle, clouds, wind, and cold temperatures. Even the normally heroic Camden Blatchly 15' did not come away with a win. In fact, Camden sliced more often than a Sushi chef in his 3 & 2 loss on the links.

Other normally competitive members of golf team also struggled to make an impact, including, but not limited to, everyone else on the team. Dr. E's strong stance on conditioning and weight training began to pay off on Tuesday, as the golf team began to feel the rewards of the 1000 pushups and sit-ups Dr. E demands of the players each day. Nevertheless, many of the players had to be carried off of the course, as they were completely exhausted from having back- to- back matches.

In the end however, Middlesex put forth a valiant effort but were unable to come away with a win. The team will look to rebound when they host Nobles and Brooks on Wednesday, April 30 at 2:45pm.
