Despite the Middlesex girls' varsity tennis team marked skills and tactical improvements from the season's first match, their efforts were ultimately not enough to get on the score card against Nobles who bought an older and more experienced team.
Sunny, dry, and with temperatures in the mid-60s, conditions were ideal for players and spectators alike. It was a great day for tennis.
Middlesex girls like good competition, which Nobles brought, because it brings out the best in their own game. Indeed, the final scores do not show the battles fought out on each point. And the team played their best tennis so far this season, as they started to feel the results from their first weeks of training.
The Zebras look forward to the upcoming chance to bounce back against Milton Academy
Wednesday.
