The Middlesex wrestling team traveled to Braintree, MA on Saturday, February 1 to face ISL opponent Thayer Academy. The team had a stellar day on the mats, winning their 12th match of the season by a score of 42-28.

Turning in victories for the day for Middlesex were wrestlers Tae Hwan Son, Gabe Smith, Gavin Fujimori, Jivan Purutyan, George Morris, Will Baxter and Khoa Phan.

Khoa Phan had one of his most impressive performances of the season against the Tigers. His solid technique enabled him to pin his opponent in the second period. Just prior to the match, he made adjustments to his favorite move to help secure the victory.

For his efforts, Khoa received Wrestler of the Week Honors.
