The girls' varsity basketball team hosted Lawrence Academy  Friday afternoon for a 6:00pm contest. The Zebras had a tough time adjusting  to  Lawrence's  aggressive and intense style of play in the first half but found their rhythm in the second to end the game strong.

Coming out of the half down 25-7, Middlesex stormed back with rebounding and defensive pressure. Senior Captain Charlotte Silk led the charge as she scored 12 of her team high 15 points in the second half.  The Zebras got within seven points but foul trouble hindered the team from fielding its best players on the court.  LA was able to keep Middlesex at bay despite the team battling valiantly to the very end.  Sophomore Hannah Saghir, out injured since winter break, was able to bring energy and six points to the teams effort in her 2014 debut. 

A terrific effort in the second half as the team looks forward to hosting Winsor on Saturday.
