Led by senior captain Mike Menter's two goals, the boys' varsity hockey team defeated St. George's 4-1 in Newport, RI Saturday afternoon.

Justin White opened the scoring eight minutes into the first with a blast from the point. Middlesex extended the lead in the early part of the second on a power-play goal from Mike Menter. Menter then scored the second of his two goals shorthanded later in the second period with a terrific pass from junior center Eric Shaw. Senior Patrick Milne closed out the scoring for Middlesex in the third with a tap in off the back post.

Sophomore goalies Tristan Collins and Derek Goguen split the goaltending duties and both finished the year with outstanding performances.

Middlesex completes the 2013-2014 season with an over all record of 10-12-2.
