On a rainy opening to the month of October, the Middlesex Boys' Soccer team dropped a close match to a talented Lawrence Academy squad, 2-0.  Middlesex found multiple opportunities to get behind the Lawrence defense, but the final touch and pass were left wanting throughout the day.  It was a very strong team performance, with Brian Powers and Gavin Garrity-Rokous standing out for consistently strong play. 

Lawrence scored on an individual piece of magic in the 29^th minute when their captain lifted the ball past a double team on the right byline to square the ball for the simplest of tap-ins.  Middlesex fought extremely hard and applied consistent pressure over the final 20 minutes of the match, but the same two players combined for Lawrence in the 83^rd minute and the result was the same for the 2-0 final score.  The team will take heart in the fantastic effort over the past two disappointing results, and will travel to Brooks on Friday looking to get back to their winning ways.
