As has been the tendency, Middlesex came out of the gates flat and quickly was down 2-12 (and eventually 22 points) against Berwick Academy Wednesday afternoon. With four minutes left in the half, the Zebras went on a terrific run to go into the half 23-32.
In the second half, Berwick was able to keep Middlesex at bay as the Zebras had difficulty handling the pressure of the defense. Freshman Ariana Odom keep the team afloat with her terrific shooting from beyond the arc (five three pointers) on her way to scoring a career high 19 points.
Senior Captain Charlotte Silk continues to be our defensive stalwart and vocal leader on the court. Junior Pennie Herring came off the bench to play meaningful minutes and worked hard on the defensive end.
Middlesex played well for stretches but had too many mental lapses throughout the game to have a better outcome.
