Girls' Varsity Basketball Falls to Holderness on the Road

1/13/2014 9:44:00 AM

With a rash of injuries and illnesses, Middlesex ended bringing only 6 original varsity players up to New Hampshire to play Holderness on Saturday, January 11. Luckily, we were able to bring up three senior JV players to compete in the game.

The girls battled hard throughout the game and were only down by seven at the half(11-18).  Middlesex had a hard time finishing layups and put-backs in the second half, and as a result, Holderness ran away with it.

To the team's credit, they competed with a great deal of pride and played hard for the entire 32 minutes.  Junior point guard Kathryn Barry showed terrific poise in handling the defensive pressure while contributing a career high 10 points.  Freshman Ariana Odom continues to led the way in scoring as she poured in 11 points (three from behind the arc).

Middlesex faces Nobles next at home on Wednesday, January 15 at 5:00pm.
