Thirty Middlesex runners crossed the finish line on an idyllic fall day at Fresh Pond, BB&N's home course, where they also faced Thayer and St. George's.

The varsity team defeated Thayer and BB&N, but lost to St. George's.  Mahal Alvarez-Backus led the race from start to finish to win her first race of this season. Still, as impressive as Mahal's win was, the race was really about team, and many Middlesex girls ran their first races ever.  We had runners of all speeds working together to cross the line. There were many great improvements from last week, but particularly noteworthy were sophomore Raphaele Sevrain who had a 2+ minute PR and put herself solidly at the front of the JV pack, and Kat Ladner who posted a nearly 3 minute improvement through determination and grit.
