It was a face-off between the Zebras as Middlesex traveled to Groton for a traditional rivalry.

The MX Zebras were quick out of the gates with six players scoring nine unanswered goals. With disciplined defense led by Maddie ’14, Cici ’14, Giules ’13 and Ro ’13, Middlesex capitalized on Groton’s fouls and over-throws to capture a strong lead going into the second half up 11-5.

 The Groton Zebras proved resilient however,  and came out fast in the second half to close the gap 12-9 by midway through the period. With each team netting two more goals, Middlesex maintained possession with poise, composure, and precision as the clock wound down.

As usual, it was a tough battle between the two Zebras, but as the result of mental toughness and endurance, the Middlesex Zebras came out on top.

The team returns to action when they travel to Phillips Exeter in New Hampshire on Wednesday, May 6 for a 3:00pm game.
