Baseball Stymied by Governors

Governor's Academy scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to break open a close game and defeat Middlesex 9-2 on Wednesday. With the win, Governor's clinched at least a share of the ISL title.

Zach Steer took the loss on the mound, dropping his record to 3-4 on the season. He completes the year with a team leading 3.07 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 41 innings pitched.

Drew Coash and Nick Widen each had two hits to pace the Middlesex offense.

The Zebras will wrap up their 2013 season by visiting their traditional rival St. George's on Saturday at 2 pm.
