The Zebras met ISL competitor Rivers on Saturday afternoon. From the first draw, Middlesex took control of the game and played a sharp and focused contest.
Six members of the attacking unit scored in the first 8:00 minutes of play, resulting in a 7-1 lead with 17:53 remaining in the half. Precise passes, strong midfield play, and a tenacious defensive unit led to a commanding 9-2 Zebras lead at halftime.
Rivers came back in the second half by putting four goals on the scoreboard, but goals by Maggie M. '15, Dakota '14. Brooke '14, Claire '15, and freshman Hannah '16 maintained the decisive 15-6 victory as the clock dwindled.
The team will look to prepare for Rhode Island powerhouse, Barrington High School, and Groton next week.
