The Middlesex Softball team really showed their fortitude in this softball game against The Rivers School.  In the first inning, Middlesex only allowed Rivers to get one run.  Special commendation is awarded to pitcher Christina Cleroux '14, whose strength as well as improvement as a pitcher was demonstrated in this game.  After coming in on a passed ball, Christina was inadvertently hurt by the incoming runner.  After taking a timeout to make sure she was okay, she chose to get up and continue the game.  Despite hurting her ankle, Christina was able to focus enough to strike out the next batter.  

The Middlesex team as a whole was able to keep the runs down to only 5.  Showing good judgement and awareness, Cleroux and third baseman Madeline Coleman '16 were able to make a double play in the 4th inning to get the 2nd and 3rd out.  Offensively there were also great hits by Cleroux, Coleman, and Caitlin Cronin' 13.
