The Middlesex girls' varsity tennis team defeated Lawrence Academy today 13-2. Thankful for the beautiful weather, the team jumped out to an early lead and displayed great ability and poise throughout the match.
Led by captain Emma Satterthwaite Muresianu '13, the Zebras captured 10 of the available 12 singles points. Emma, Olivia Dewey '14, Charlotte Flint '14, Anita Kodali '13 and Sophia Corning '16 each swept their singles matches and helped capture the win prior to the doubles matches starting.
As has been the theme all year, the depth of the 2013 squad was again visible today as every member of the active roster earned at least one point for the team. The Zebras swept the three doubles matches behind the strong teamwork of Olivia and Charlotte, Nell Gallogly '14 and April Simms '14, and Katie Bull '15 and Bess Butler '13.
Hoping for continued warm weather, the team travels to Weston on Saturday to play ISL rival Rivers School.
