Sharp and focused, the Zebras took the field on a beautiful spring day in Concord, MA.
Middlesex executed solid draw controls, a well-balanced attacking unit, and excellent team defense in the first half, earning a large 13-3 halftime lead.
In the second half, goalie Sarah '14 and the defensive unit had a shutout, while the Zebras added three more goals for the decisive win. Twelve different players scored for Middlesex, including a first career goal for Talya '14. Brooke '14 led the team in ground balls and added two goals in the offensive end, Ali '14 notched two goals and an assist, while Maggie '15 added two goals of her own. Diana '15, Juliana '14, Cici '14, and Hannah '16 made impressive plays in the defensive end to keep the Spartans scoreless in the second half.
Overall, the win was a terrific team effort and the Zebras will look to continue selfless team play against Rivers on Saturday, April 27th.
