On a late
Friday afternoon, Middlesex concluded its inaugural season against Beaver Country Day School. The Zebras defeated their opponent 2-0, thus ending their season with an overall record of 9-1.
All Middlesex players got to play and contribute to the win. The contest was primarily decided by the Zebras strong serving. Ace specialist Sarah Ong(sophomore) delivered her signature curving topspin serve to great effect as she led the team with six aces. Sophomore middle hitters Sarah Binda and Lexi Stankard were aggressive at the net. Freshman setters Erin Brady and Maile Cowell put their hitters in great position to make plays while freshman outside hitters Carina Nunez and Minh Pham contributed in serve receive.
Overall, it was a good team effort as the Zebras were vocal in their support and affection for each other.Â
