Middlesex defeated Boston Trinity for the second time this year improving their overall record to 9-5.
Despite a cold shooting night by the Zebras and a second half scare by some timely three-point shooting from Boston Trinity, Middlesex was able to hold on to the 58-54 victory.
The Zebras found themselves behind by as many as four points in the second half. With 7:00 remaining and a BTA lead of 44-42, the junior co-captain combination of Jon Siu and Aaron Swenson took over and led the squad on a 12-0 run.
Swenson opened the floodgates for MX with a three and followed which then followed with a three made by Sui. Sui then scored on a running floater and on the next possession Swenson did the same. A steal on the defensive end by Swenson led to a two handed tomahawk jam by Sui to give MX their biggest lead of the game.
Swenson finished with a game high 32 points and nine rebounds. John Siu finished with 14
points and 11 rebounds. Jobeir Blake contributed five points and six rebounds while Peter Beatty had seven rebounds for the Zebras.
