The Middlesex boys' varsity hockey team was defeated by BB&N 5 – 1 today in Cambridge, MA.
BB&N jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period. They scored their first tally on a two on one rush and added a second goal on a breakaway.
The second period belonged to BB&N when they scored three goals on three different situations. The first goal was scored at full strength, the second on a Knight's power play and the third, a short handed goal scored on an in-zone turnover.
Justin Ferreira tallied the lone goal of the third period for the Zebras with assists going to Chris Jellison and AJ Lucchese
Derek Williams and Derek Goguen combined for 29 saves for the day.
Middlesex returns to action on Wednesday at Portsmouth Abbey whom they defeated 5 -0 in a previous meeting this season.
