Unfortunately, it was a case of "too little, too late," as the Zebras fell short to an aggressive and athletic St. Mark's squad.  Nothing seemed to be going the Zebras way as they committed several turnovers in the offense and let up fast break goals; uncharacteristic of typical Middlesex lacrosse. 

Middlesex stayed in the game on goals from "Hads" '12, "Pags" '13, and "Burns" '12, but St. Mark's held a solid lead by halftime (9-6). 

The Zebras continued to stuggle in the second half, as St. Mark's scored four unanswered goals.  Finally, Middlesex fell into a routine and they played their game in the last 16 minutes, dominating St. Mark's by scoring 6 goals to their 1.  Perhaps the most impressive feat came from a scoring streak in the final two minutes as the Zebras scored three goals in 44 seconds.  However, the clock dwindled and the Zebras left the field shocked and disappointed with the 14-12 loss.
