The Zebras came out sloppy from the first whistle today, and a feisty and motivated Exeter squad made the game interesting.

 Exeter took a quick two goal lead off of defensive errors and Middlesex failed to maintain possession in the attacking end.  "Tink", "Sandy", and "Batie" added tallies to keep the score even, but the Zebras uncharacteristically turned the ball over several times throughout the half.  In the last five minutes of the half, Exeter was up 8-5, but the Zebras refused to end the half trailing as “Katnip”, “Tink”, and “Sandy” each notched a point. 

Exeter took another two goal lead at the start of the second, as the Zebras attempted to recover from continued sloppy play.  The teams traded goals with Middlesex falling behind and then tying the game and it wasn’t until 1:16 remaining that the Zebras took their first lead of the half.  Exeter gained possession and with some gritty defensive play, Middlesex held on to the 14-13 win. 

Although Middlesex earned the win today, the team was disappointed with the number of turnovers and careless play.  The Zebras hope to bounce back against BBN on Saturday.
