Varsity Basketball had a nail-biting game against Belmont Hill with a final score of 47-54, with the zebras putting up a valiant effort to the end. Middlesex pushed through the first half with smooth, well-executed play, leading at the half 26-24. Blair ’12 had an impressive and crucial move late in the half to keep Middlesex ahead and motivated. Once again, Tyson ’12 made some textbook 3 pointers and shot well from the free throw line.
In the second half, Middlesex struggled to keep up with the reinvigorated squad from Belmont; nevertheless, the play was mostly back and forth until the final minutes when Middlesex got into some foul trouble. Aaron ’14 had an exciting steal and run for a lay-up, which kept the Zebras close.
