The challenge of facing the more experienced Nobles team, became a match-time coaching decision to save the best line-up for the Landmark match. With so many first year wrestlers, it was time to dig in and fight in the trenches to pull out at least one victory for the injury riddled Middlesex squad.
After losing Thad '13, to a knee strain, the injury bench was more crowded than the half ready to compete. To get past Nobles took perseverance and heart. The match wasn't close, and the young men still competed with energy and desire.
In fact, the spirit of the Middlesex squad was inspiring. Robert '13 again showed his leadership as captain with a third period pin.

Then came the swell of Middlesex pride. It started with a few words from coaches, and trickled down the ranks till freshman Gabe' 16 said it all "Coach, I just want to win".
The teams were very closely matched-up. Mostly first year wrestlers with a few experienced upper classmen sprinkled in. The home team of Landmark was eager to show its fans what they could do and came out strong. Many of the matches could have gone either way.
But the determination of the Middies was like a rolling snowball. They got stronger as the match went on. It was like a shark frenzy. The momentum just took hold and grew.
Wesley notched his first career victory with a pin in the second period. John '15 overpowered his opponent and would not be denied a victory.
The determination of the team was as thick as the fog that they drove through to get to the north shore seaside town. To add to the total, the Zawada brothers both secured victories putting the match in our favor and out of reach for the home team. Steven '15, managed to pin his opponent in 19 seconds. Securing the season early record for fastest pin.
Hunt '13, Jivan '16, both pinned their opponents to finalize the score
