Middlesex fell to undefeated Nobles despite great support from the parents' weekend crowd. Despite slow conditions, the team ran well, passing throughout the 3.1 course and posting a number of impressive finishes.

 Olivia Mussafer from Nobles won the race, setting a new course record in the process, but Mahal Alvarez-Backus was not far behind, improving upon her own school record for our home course.  The varsity effort was helped by Talya Kramer, Megan Fanning, Agustina Hobbs (scoring in the varsity race for the first time in the last home race of her Mx running career), Miranda Gish, Alex Schoen, and Phoebe Lindsay.  Ginny Wan and Emily Powers posted improved times despite the slow conditions, and the entire team showed great patience, toughness, and teamwork. 

The team looks forward to recovering, regrouping, and resuming training after the long weekend as they head to their last regular season race at Rivers (one of our favorite courses!) with an 8-2 record next weekend.
