The wrestling team hosted two of the ISL wrestling teams on Saturday January 14 Buckingham Browne and Nichols School and Governor Academy.

The matchups with BBN were few due to forfeits, but in the tradition of BBN, the wrestlers who competed were some of the top in the ISL.  The lower weights of BBN are very skilled and the young light weight Middlesex wrestlers learned from their experience.  Middlesex upper weights had little competition and combined for six forfeits to result in the final score a MX victory 48 to BBN 36.

Special congratulations to Tae Hwan '14, who pinned his New England qualifier and worthy opponent. The match with Governors began with four seniors not participating.  Due to injury and missing weight, the shorthanded team never recovered.

The Governor team was in good form throughout their lineup and had a dominant afternoon to win Governor's 59 to MX 12.

Chase '13 had a shining moment for the squad as he fought off a near pin to scramble and position himself to a hard fought and fantastic victory pin of his own.  Great battle!

Also, Alex '12 regained his form after being sidelined for a week, to pin his opponent at the heavyweight match.
The team gets back to work after some needed rest on Tuesday, January 17, 2012.
