The Middlesex boys' varsity hockey team defeated St. Mark’s  3-0 in a hard fought game in front of a large crowd at home on Friday night.

Middlesex struck first with a first period goal from freshman defenseman Harrison M when he jumped up in the play to make a 3 on 2 rush at 7:50.Jonathan M. scored the second goal for Middlesex with a piece of nifty fore-checking. He was  assisted by Dan B. The second period was scoreless as the teams traded scoring chances.

Finally at 17:09 of the third period, Dan B. scored an empty net goal with the St. Mark’s goalie having been pulled on a great feed from Simon C. and Blake C.

Junior Goalie Derek W. picked up his second shutout of the year with 18 stops for Middlesex
