The hard working members of the wrestling team earned a bit of pride and accomplishment on Wednesday at the Stone Center in Groton, MA.

Taking the ISL team Lawrence Academy head on as well as Chapel Hill Chauncey Hall the wrestlers combined for a total of 11 victories to only three defeats. 

Nine of the victories were in the bonus with pins by Nick D '12, Brian B. '14, Thad P. '13, Nathan C. '12, Chase D. '13, Jeff M. 12, Dan C. '12, Gil G. '12 and Anthony B. '12.

The two victory club for the day in wrestled matches was earned by Anthony B. '12 adding a tech fall by a score of 18-2. and Nick D 12' winning both of his matches. Outstanding effort by these two wrestlers.

Also not to be overlooked in the varsity momentum was the performance by two JV wrestlers who quickly took down there opponents in competition immediately following the first match. Christian P' 14 high lifted his opponent not once, not twice, but three times to take him to the mat. Christian won his match by pinning his opponent in the second period. Robert Z. '13 "the secret weapon" as he has been nicknamed, won his match by pin in the second period.

Forfeits were added by Hunt H' '14, Tae Hwan '14, both having two on the day. Also adding forfeits were Jordan P. '14, Dan C. '12, and Zawada R. '13.

The team will repair, rest and reconfigure themselves in Terminator style reboot mode to take on the two ISL foes of Governors Academy and BBN on Saturday at Home. We look forward to having the fans back on our side.
