The Boys Varsity continues to shine with a 3-0 effort against BBN, St. George's, and Brooks upping its current season record 13-1. Despite a number of runners feeling less than optimal, notably Peter Howe and Lucas Estrada, all the boys pulled through in dramatic fashion. Archrival St. George's presented swift and determined competition and victory was secured primarily because Senior Jeff Mara had the best race of his career. By securing the 17th place, the scoring tilted in Middlesex's favor. It was another great finish in what has been a record-setting season for the program.
The Boys JV went 2-1 for the day. Like the varsity, several runners, like Jon Siu and Matt McKenna, were at less than full strength, but nonetheless, put forth their best effort. Max Rifkin and Derin Hotamisligil had his best races of the season as the first and third Middlesex runners respectively. Freshman Eric Dolce ran his first sub 24 min race while the team was excited to see Senior Justin Partyka complete his first race after a season of intensive knee-surgery rehab.
