Field hockey player and co-captain of Middlesex lacrosse. Played boys' JV hockey as a defenseman before Middlesex started hockey for girls. A four-year varsity ice hockey letter-winner at Princeton, she anchored the Princeton defense and led the Tigers to the Ivy League Championship in three consecutive Seasons. All-Ivy League First Team and the All-Eastern College Athletic Conference First Team, Ivy League Most Valuable Player. After a long illness, Patty died in 1990. The Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award is given annually by USA Hockey to the most outstanding player in women's intercollegiate hockey.
