Played football, basketball and lacrosse, earning nine letters in his career. Served as captain of each sport in his Senior year. Named All-League in football in 1984 and lacrosse in 1984 and 1985. Was a first-team All-American in lacrosse in 1985. Played lacrosse at Middlebury, where he was a captain in 1989. Named a Division III third-team All-American in 1988.
