Won 10 varsity letters during his Middlesex career while playing football, basketball, and baseball. Captained the baseball team in 1954. Scored 214 points during the 1953 basketball season, which was then a school record. Played football and baseball at Amherst, lettering twice in football and three times in baseball. Named a first team All-American in 1957 and a third team All-American in 1958 in baseball. Led all of college baseball in 1957 when he hit .447. Won the Howard Hill Mossman Cup, presented annually to the Senior who has brought the greatest honor in athletics to Amherst.
