The Middlesex Alpine ski team continued its strong form in its second race of the season on Wednesday, January 11. The girls team once again pulled out a second place finish, while the boys continued to show their strength with a third place team finish, despite some tricky, icy conditions that led to a number of racers falling on the course.
Nina H. once again led the way for the girls team with a third place finish, followed closely by Sophie V. and Taylor M., who finished fifth and seventh, respectively, while Emma C. rounded out the scoring for the Middlesex girls with a twenty-second place finish. On the boys side, captain Spencer B. put together two strong runs for a sixth place finish, Brandon C. skied into eigth place and Grant B. into twelfth, while Matt M. continued his improvement with a thirty-second place finish, despite starting late in the running order.
The team will be back on the hill at Nashoba Valley for another Giant Slalom race this coming Wednesday, the 17th of January.
